Since the launch of my latest book Toxic Overload I have been overwhelmed with positive feed back from people who have had their lives transformed by cutting down on disease triggering chemicals, detoxing their bodies effectively and also by eating the higher level of nutrients their chemically damaged bodies so desperately need. Thank you all for so generously sharing much of this information with me as I admit it is the best feeling in the world to know that my books have helped so many people to turn their lives around. It is also apparent that this subject will soon receive more attention after the screening of the UKs Channel 4s new documentary, Beauty addicts: How toxic are you?, Thursday, October 11, Channel 4, 8pm, 2007. This program will expose evidence revealing that the simple act of applying makeup which contains toxic chemicals commonly found in regular cosmetics can dramatically increase the levels of these toxic chemicals in our body. This movement of toxic chemicals from cosmetics into the body itself is hardly surprising given that skin patches are commonly used to administer pharmaceutical drugs. However it brings home the point that we need to be increasingly aware of the fact that there are chemicals in cosmetics and they could be damaging our health to a much greater extent than might initially be imagined.
