Adding competency in this technique to the repertoire of a massage therapist enhances her/his ability to meet the needs and requests of a woman who want to improve her appearance in a healthy way. It will also help the therapist become more viable in an increasingly competitive profession. The determination to present the Dermasculpture Cellulite Massage course comes about because of the 26+ years of experience in doing this massage. I, Pat Parkinson, develop the curriculum, teach the course, measure the outcomes, keep the records and determine when and if revisions in the course content are needed. Advertising of educational offerings is published on my web site, www.dermasculpture.com, at organizations that are interested in offering Dermasculpture cellulite massage classes to their massage therapists, and from time to time in massage magazines, journals and periodicals. People are registered online and/or by mail with a non-refundable deposit of 100. The total fee for the class is 325/student, unless other arrangements have been made. For online classes students must complete the course within 3 months from the time the course is purchased. Pre-requisite to receive CEUs for the course is a license in massage therapy or having graduated from a 500 hour school, and be physically able to do the work. Participants will be able to complete a half-hour cellulite massage at the end of the class.
