Dr. Steven E. Kanor is a consulting rehabilitation engineer serving in an advisory capacity to schools, institutions, industry, and private patients. He is presently involved in the prescription, design, development, and fabrication of devices for the physically challenged. These devices are utilized for communication, play, mobility, ADL, environment control, physical therapy, and teaching. He has lectured and written extensively about methods for using modern technology to improve the quality of life of those with severe disabling conditions. Through a multidisciplinary approach, he has invented many unique devices which have been successfully incorporated into rehabilitation programs world wide. Today, Dr. Kanor is the President and CEO of Enabling Devices (formerly Toys for Special Children) which he founded. This company now produces and ships world wide over 100,000 devices per year for the physically challenged.
