Dr. Steven K. Sue is the designer of the Nose Breathe appliances and a specialist in Non-Extraction Orthodontics. He has been a practicing orthodontist in Hawaii since 1972. In 1974, he specialized in Non-Extraction Orthodontics, using functional orthopedic appliances to develop the jaws. Dr. Sue has worked with snorers the past five years. In early 1997, Nose Breathe was designed. It quickly became evident that it was an excellent orthodontic tool to correct the tongue thrust problems so commonly found in orthodontics. Today, he has speech pathologists using them. Volleyball, softball, and tennis coaches, bikers, joggers, cross-country runners, hikers, paddlers, soccer players, meditators, grade school, middle school, high school, and college kids, parents and grandparents are wearing them. Because of the lip seal created by Nose Breathe, Nose Breathe with Oral Shield, and Nose Breathe for Heavy Mouth Breather, training appliances to teach nasal breathing, his clients can quickly experience and grasp this very important idea! Dr. Sue is a member of the American Dental Association, the Hawaii Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Hawaii and Pacific Coast Societies of Orthodontists, the Hawaii and American Academies for Sports Dentistry, the Hawaii Society for Preventive Dentistry, and numerous study clubs. He served two years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps and earned a Vietnam Service Commendation ribbon.
