Dr. Bob got interested in nutrition in the 1960s. During that time, he sought out and attended organizations, lectures, conventions, and seminars on health. In addition, he used the computer to search out literature on nutrition and health. After five years, the demand for nutritional counseling in his private practice had grown to the point that he left IBM and devoted full time to nutritional counseling. In 1984, he was invited by a leading supplier of nutritional supplements in England (Lambert’s) to design some products for them. Since there was a great need for a professional to see patients in England, they supported his moving to England and establishing a Metabolic Counseling Clinic. It was quite successful and he gave lectures on Amino Acid Therapy and Fatty Acid Therapy at two different institutions, teaching and training nutritional counselors. He is nationally registered as a nutritional counselor in England. In addition, twice a year he would give seminars to health professionals in both England and Sweden. In Sweden, they have a competing organization with the Nobel Prize that awards three Noble Bell prizes to alternative health practitioners. Sweden honored him in Dec 1997 with a Nobel Bell award for sharing information on nutritional testing, and treatment of difficult health cases (the only non-Swedish person to be so honored). In 1994, at age 65, he returned from England and became nationally certified in clinical nutrition by the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists. As part of his routine intake, he used a dark field microscope, hair mineral analysis, and biological terrain assessment. In the past Dr. Bob has been a consultant for Doctors Data (in Chicago), assisting doctors in the interpretation of amino acid tests, blood and tissue mineral tests, and others, and to advise doctors of possible nutritional therapies. When needed, he has also acted as a consultant for Jo-Mar Laboratories. He has published many articles in the Journal of Alternative and Complimentary Medicine, and has authored 7 health books, ranging from the classic The Amino Revolution to Fats That Can Save Your Life. The latest: When The Doctor Says Its Cancer, 2nd edition (1999) is already in need of updating. He believes in a total approach to health using both tests and history to assess metabolic imbalances and toxins interfering with health. Where metabolic weaknesses occur, he recommends correcting these with diet, supplementation, circulation stimulation, energetic health and change in life habits. He encourages everyone to become an expert in their personal health concerns, get guidance and be knowledgeable enough to take responsibility for their own health.
